Day 11: To The Levee (but not in a Chevy)

How does anyone get through that mess?!?!? I don't slow down or stop much cause the swamp kinda scares me a little.... Covered 33 miles in the first 2 hours!

Then it all went to crap!!! Flats 5, 6, & 7!!!!! I'm pretty much a pro at changing tubes and tires now.

Sugar is sweet but rotting left over sugar cane STINKS!!!! There are big piles of it everywhere!

Bumming a ride over the HUGE bridge across the Mississippi!

Made it to the levee by some sort of miracle! I have barely made it to my stops everyday I've been in Louisiana... But I did make it! Stopped to pick up some Mardi Gras beads that are all over the road... Had to get properly dressed for New Orleans! Too bad Lent started like a month ago!

"I'm so official all I need is a whistle!"

Got 4 leagues down river before dark! Hello New Orleans!

I gave that levee the business! Covered some ground without having to worry about cars or flats! Great way to end the day! 85 miles today and 798 miles from Stillwater, OK.

My 11 year old cousin has been progressively losing motor function (can no longer walk or talk) for the last 2 years and has no diagnosis. Her insurance will not work with the hospital, so she needs our help in order to get some answers!
